I ordered the tasting menu, while i left VERY full i didnt leave satisfied. I did wish they asked how the dishes were after collecting the plates. The service was top notch, the servers were attentive and friendly. I really wanted to like this place ESPECIALLY for the price. To sum it up, the fact that this restaurant has a Michelin star makes me now doubt the standard of the Michelin guide. I’ve honestly never seen anything like this at any Michelin star or even fine dining restaurant. Most of it is enclosed, except a section where people smoke outside, and the door was left open the whole time, meaning if you sat near that door, cigarette smoke would be drifting into your food. We ordered the monkfish and short rib, both again were average, like what we would be served in a decent nyc restaurant, definitely NOT Michelin level at all.Ītmosphere - to put it simply, it felt like I was eating at any normal rooftop restaurant, even a little tacky if I’m being honest. Octopus was very tender and perfectly cooked. The only thing that stood out was the octopus (which is why I’m even giving them one star). Usually the amuse bouche is the star for me, but I actually didn’t finish my bite.

Most of the waitstaff hung around the bar chatting, I had to wait and beg for my umbrella that I left at coat check.įood - they gave us amuse bouche which was ok, average plated and taste was just ok. It was hard to get our server’s attention, the table next to us had to wait 15 minutes to get the check. No one once asked how the food was (which was ok at best). Service - service was worse than an average mom and pop restaurant. As someone who has dined at multiple Michelin star restaurants all over the world (1-3 stars), this shouldn’t even be on the Bib Gourmand.
